The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, NHTSA, is currently investigating whether Honda has to recall 1.7M SUVs after receiving reports of vehicles losing power at high speeds, Ryan Felton of The Wall Street Journal reports. In a public filing, the NHTSA said it was launching a probe to investigate the matter and includes Honda CR-V and HR-V vehicles from years 2018 to 2022. Reports allege the vehicles experienced a rear differential lockup due to leakage, which resulted in the drive shaft fracturing. The scope and severity of the problem is not yet known. Reference Link
