Honda and Japanese battery maker GS Yuasa plan to invest over JPY400B to develop and manufacture cells for electric vehicles and homes in Japan through a joint venture slated to launch this year, Nikkei reports. The first mvoe will involve the two companies building a domestic lithium-ion battery plant with a target capacity of 2020 gigawatt-hours or more, the report notes. Reference Link
