Google’s new geothermal energy project, which plans to power its data centers with clean energy in partnership with Fervo, is up and running in Nevada, The Verge’s Justine Calma reports. The project is relatively small, Calma writes, with the capacity to generate 3.5 MW and will feed electricity into the local grid that serves two of Google’s data centers outside of Las Vegas and Reno.
