Goldman says ‘too soon to estimate’ impact of tariff news on Mexican airports

Goldman Sachs notes that three Mexican airport operators – Asur (ASR), GAP Airports (PAC) and OMA (OMAB) – announced through material facts that they have received a notification from Mexico’s Federal Civil Aviation Agency that it has decided to amend, with immediate effect, the terms of the tariff base regulation set in concession agreements. While “too soon to estimate the impact of the news on our estimates,” the firm expects a negative market reaction given uncertainty with regard to regulation of concession agreements, the analyst tells investors. In early trading in New York, the three airport operators’ shares are down from 26%-35%.
