Goldman Sachs (GS) could report its worst earnings next week in years, with writedowns on GreenSky likely exceeding $2B and ROE in the low single digits, Semafor’s Liz Hoffman reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Goldman’s quarterly report is likely to be “far worse” than rivals’, according to the report. Other publicly traded companies in the space include Bank of America (BAC), Citi (C), JPMorgan (JPM), Morgan Stanley (MS), U.S. Bancorp (USB) and Wells Fargo (WFC).
