General Motors said it made a “record offer” to the United Auto Workers, which includes 23% general wage increases. UAW represented employees at GM will make $40.39 per hour or $84,000 per year in base wages by the end of the agreement, GM said in a statement. All GM U.S. UAW-represented team members will receive an immediate wage increase upon ratification of the proposed offer, and all active seniority employees have the opportunity to reach max wages by the end of the proposed contract, it added.
