China has opened an investigation into Apple (AAPL) supplier Foxconn (HNHPF) over tax and land use, inspecting the company’s Guangdong, Jiangsu, Henan, and Hubei sites, The Financial Times’ Edward White and Kathrin Hille report. Foxconn plans to cooperate, according to the report. “Complying with laws and regulations is a basic principle for the group worldwide,” said Foxconn in a statement. “We will actively cooperate with the relevant authorities’ operations.”
