Fortescue Metals CEO Fiona Hick departs, Dino Ortranto to succeed

Fortescue Metals Group advises that the Board has decided to expedite the appointment of Dino Otranto as CEO of Fortescue Metals. Further, the company announced Dr Larry Marshall as a Non-Executive Director of Fortescue to guide the Company’s overall technology pathway, particularly in energy, metals, investments and strategy. Since joining Fortescue in 2021 as COO Iron Ore, Dino has become an integral member of the Fortescue family. Fiona Hick has made a joint decision with the Fortescue Board to leave the company. The company said, “The departure of Fiona has been both friendly and mutual and we warmly wish her the best for her future.” Dino will lead Fortescue Metals and Mark Hutchinson will lead Fortescue Energy. Both Leaders will report to the Executive Chairman and the Fortescue Board.
