Ford Motors is confronting a sound issue with some of its newer pickup trucks and SUVs, Ryan Felton and Nora Eckert of The Wall Street Journal report. Drivers report cases where the speakers in their vehicles sound a loud and abnormal noise. On online forums, F-150 owners have been detailing similar accounts of an odd sound, described as a “sonic boom” or “ear-piercing static,” according to the Journal. Ford issued a technical service bulletin to dealers this summer to try address the audio issue.
