Firms eyeing rolling out spot-bitcoin exchange traded funds cleared a big hurdle towards SEC approval this week, as SEC staff told several exchanges and issuers seeking to list such ETFs that they should submit a final version of a key document as soon as Friday, Bloomberg’s Allyson Versprille, Katherine Doherty, Katie Greifeld, and Yuegi Yang report, citing four people familiar with the matter. The staff gave no additional feedback on the paperwork for a number of the firms after the most recent amendments, the authors note.
