Facebook removed COVID-19 posts due to pressure from White House, WSJ reports

In response to pressure from the Biden administration, Facebook removed content related to COVID-19, including posts claiming the virus was man-made, Ryan Tracy of The Wall Street Journal report, citing an internal company communications. The emails show discussions between executives on how they managed users’ posts on the origins of the pandemic. One executive asked why the posts were being removed and another responded, “We were under pressure from the administration and others to do more… We shouldn’t have done it.”
