The AI gun detectors from Evolv that New York City Mayor Eric Adams installed in subway stations last week haven’t always worked as intended, as the same Evolv scanners installed at a Bronx hospital in 2022 frequently reported false positives, The Verge’s Gaby Del Valle reports, citing public records obtained by Hell Gate.
