The European Commission is proposing to pause certain parts of its AI laws amid pressure from tech companies and the U.S. government, Barbara Moens of The Financial times reports. On November 19, Brussels is set to water down part of its digital rule book, reflecting the EU’s efforts to make the bloc more competitive against the U.S. and China. Publicly traded companies in the space include Meta Platforms (META), Google (GOOGL), Microsoft (MSFT), Amazon (AMZN), and Apple (AAPL).
