EU new car registrations up 12.1% in January

In January, the EU new car market rebounded from the slowdown experienced in December 2023, with year-on-year car registrations increasing by 12.1% to 851,690 units, the ACEA announced. Notably, the bloc’s major markets all saw significant growth, with Germany, Italy, France, and Spain achieving either high single-digit or double-digit gains, the industry group stated. Publicly traded automakers include Ford (F), General Motors (GM), Honda (HMC), Mercedes-Benz Group (DDAIF), Nissan (NSANY), Stellantis (STLA), Tesla (TSLA), Toyota (TM) and Volkswagen (VWAGY).
