Morgan Stanley analyst Toni Kaplan lowered the firm’s price target on Equifax to $190 from $194 and keeps an Equal Weight rating on the shares. The firm is lowering its estimates for the credit bureaus on the back of recent bank closures, citing expectations for a tighter credit market. Morgan Stanley views recent events as likely to lead to tighter lending standards and higher funding costs, which in turn it sees leading to lower levels of new credit originations.
