Eni, which added Novamont to its chemical division earlier this year by acquiring the 64% of the company it did not already own from private equity funds, is in talks with funds interested in buying a minority stake in the bioplastic making unit in a deal that could value Novamont at around $1.1B, a source close to the matter told Reuters’ Francesca Landini and Valentina Za.
