Electronic Arts’ (EA) latest first-person shooter “Battlefield 6” sold over 6.5M units across PC and consoles in its first few days of availability, according to Alinea Analytics’ Rhys Elliott. That figure translates to over $350M in gross revenue, putting the game in the conversation with the year’s and console generation’s biggest launches, Elliott says. Of the 6.5M units sold, which is closer to the “Call of Duty” tier of premium-shooter launches than that of previous “Battlefield” titles, Steam accounts for 65.7% of units sold, with PlayStation 5 (SONY) accounting for 23.7% and Xbox Series (MSFT) consoles making up 19.6%.
