Duke Energy has told Reuters that, amid pressure from U.S. Congress, the company intends to decommission energy-storage batteries made by China’s CATL at one of the country’s biggest Marine Corps bases and will phase out products from the battery maker at its civilian projects. The move comes as top U.S. officials have warned that cyberattackers linked to the Chinese government are targeting network-linked U.S. infrastructure, Reuters’ Michael Martina notes.
