Duke Energy awarded $248M Defense Logistics Agency contract

Duke Energy has been awarded an estimated $248M fixed-price contract for 4.8M megawatt hours of carbon pollution-free electricity to military installations. This was a sole-source acquisition using justification 10 U.S. Code 2922 (a), as stated in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. This is an 18-year contract with no option periods. Locations of performance are North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia, with a September 1, 2041, delivery order end date. Using military services are Army, Air Force and Marine Corps. Type of appropriation is fiscal 2024 through 2041 operations and maintenance funds. The contracting activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Energy.
