Swiss authorities are in talks with Credit Suisse (CS) about ways to stabilize the bank and have talked about options that range from a public statement of support to a potential liquidity backstop, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg. Among the other ideas floated include a separation of the Swiss unit and a "long-shot orchestrated tie-up" with larger Swiss rivalUBS Group (UBS), said the sources, who cautioned Bloomberg that it is unclear "which, if any, of these steps will actually be executed."
