BMO Capital lowered the firm’s price target on Compass Minerals to $20 from $25 and keeps a Market Perform rating on the shares. The firm is removing the new flame retardant business Fortress entirely from its earnings model following poor operational performance from the company’s key customer – the U.S. Forest Service, the analyst tells investors in a research note. BMO is also lowering the company’s Highway Deicing business salt volume estimates more as March snowfall continues to be mild.
