Comcast’s (CMCSA) NBCUniversal is preparing to make a strong bid to win back the broadcast rights for National Basketball Association games after more than 20 years of having lost them to Disney+ and Turner Sports, CNBC’s Alex Sherman reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Disney (DIS) is also expected to bid on the NBA to keep games on ESPN and ABC, while Apple (AAPL) and Amazon (AMZN) have already expressed interest in buying rights to the NBA, the report states.
