Chinese media reports have said that at least some quarantine hotels in Chengdu, the capital city of Southwest China’s Sichuan Province, have shortened the quarantine time for travelers from overseas from five days to two days upon arrival, according to Global Times. Though no official announcement has been made by Chengdu authorities, the news has sparked speculation over whether China will further relax its quarantine policy for inbound travelers soon, according to the report, which added that Mao Ning, a spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, said at a Wednesday press briefing that China will roll out more measures to facilitate cross-border travel.
