Chevron (CVX) has evacuated employees from three U.S. Gulf of Mexico oil production platforms while Kinder Morgan (KMI) readies to shutter a petroleum pipeline ahead of Hurricane Idalia, Reuters’ staff reports, citing the companies.Chevron removed non-essential personnel at its Blind Faith and Petronius platforms as well as all staff from its Genesis platform, which is being decommissioned as Kinder Morgan shut its Port Manatee, Port Sutton and Tampaplex terminals.
