Capital Bancorp upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Stephens

Stephens upgraded Capital Bancorp to Overweight from Equal Weight with a price target of $28, up from $25. The Integrated Financial deal is deal strategically complementary to Capital Bancorp’s regional and national branch-lite model, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The merger increases the commercial bank earnings contribution to 67%, a remix that is “multiple-enhancing,” while also reducing commercial real estate and construction concentrations below regulatory guideposts, says the firm. It finds Capital Bancorp’s valuation compelling post the acquisition.
