Blackwells Capital plans to rival Trian Fund Management by nominating three directors to Disney’s board, Reuters’ Svea Herbst-Bayliss reports, citing people familiar with the matter. Trian is currently seeking two seats on Disney’s board. Blackwells is offering a choice of nominees to Disney shareholders who agree that new blood on the board could help CEO Bob Iger but object to electing Trian’s nominees, the sources say.
