Blackstone is set to acquire AirTrunk in a multibillion-dollar deal, Leo Lewis and Nic Fildes of The Financial Times reports. Blackstone, along with the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, is in the final stages of talks to acquire AirTrunk from Macquarie’s asset management arm, two people close to the acquisition told the Times. It is expected to cost $13.5B, according to a separate person with knowledge of the deal.
