BlackRock plans to let go of about 500 employees, or roughly 2.5% of its global workforce, reported Bloomberg’s Silla Brush, citing a memo to staff announcing the news. "The uncertainty around us makes it more important than ever that we stay ahead of changes in the market and focus on delivering for our clients," CEO Larry Fink and President Rob Kapito wrote in a staff memo seen by Bloomberg, the news service stated.
