Bentley Systems (BSY) is exploring options that include a sale after attracting acquisition interest, Milana Vinn and Anirban Sen of Reuters report, citing people familiar with the matter. Among the companies that have expressed interest in a deal with Bentley are Schneider Electric (SBGSY) and Cadence Design Systems (CDNS), a source told Reuters. The Bentley family controls Bentley through a special class of shares and the company has formed a special committee to explore its options, that include an outright sale of the company as well as a joint venture, the sources said. Shares of Bentley Systems are up 4% to $52.25 following the report.
