Bell Textron awarded $455M Navy contract

Bell Textron was awarded a $455M firm-fixed-price, undefinitized contract for the production and delivery of 12 AH-1Z helicopters for the government of Nigeria, as well as provides associated engineering, program management and logistics support, and non-recurring engineering for obsolescence. Work is expected to be completed in July 2028. Foreign Military Sales customer funds in the amount of $82.35M will be obligated at time of award, none of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured pursuant to 10 U.S. Code 3204. Naval Air Systems Command Patuxent River is the contracting activity.
