Baker Hughes reports the U.S. rig count is down 3 from last week to 748 rigs, with oil rigs down 2 to 588, gas rigs down 1 to 157 and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3. The U.S. rig count is up 55 rigs from last year’s count of 693, with oil rigs up 40, gas rigs up 14 and miscellaneous up 1. The Canada rig count is down 16 from last week to 111, with oil rigs down 7 to 45, gas rigs down 9 to 66.
