Baker Hughes reports U.S. rig count down 3 to 623 rigs

Baker Hughes reports that the U.S. rig count is down 3 from last week to 623 with oil rigs down 2 to 501, gas rigs unchanged at 119 and miscellaneous rigs down 1 to 3. The U.S. Rig Count is down 153 rigs from last year’s count of 776 with oil rigs down 119, gas rigs down 35 and miscellaneous up 1. The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 2 to 19, up 4 year-over-year. The Canada Rig Count is down 9 from last week to 185, with oil rigs down 2 to 118, and gas rigs down 7 to 67. The Canada Rig Count is down 14 from last year’s count of 199, with oil rigs down 6, and gas rigs down 8.
