The U.S. Army’s critical effort to modernize its battlefield communications network, led by Anduril, Palantir (PLTR), and other firms, faces serious “fundamental security” flaws and should be considered a “very high risk,” Reuters’ Mike Stone reports, citing a recent internal Army memo. The two companies, whose leaders are allies of U.S. President Donald Trump, have secured access to a lucrative stream of Pentagon contracts by pledging to deliver cheaper and more advanced weapons than the military’s traditional defense contractors.
