JMP Securities downgraded Ares Commercial to Market Perform from Outperform without a price target following the Q3 report. Ares has some problem loans to work through and has said that it expects a realized loss on an office loan resolution of $41M in either Q4 or Q1, the analyst tells investors in a research note. Given the realized losses, the firm views the shares as fairly valued.
