Archer Aviation was awarded an $110M firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Midnight Based Advanced Vertical Lift. This contract is a Small Business Innovative Research, or SBIR, Phase III to iteratively conduct government operational experimentation on military installation for government-owned, government-operated flight operations to execute and experiment with key missions or mission elements to substantiate government use cases, concept of operations/mission design, and cost/benefit analyses of the Midnight aircraft that extend, derive, and complete previously awarded SBIR Phase I and II efforts. Work will be performed in San Jose, California, and is expected to be completed by July 31, 2028. This contract was a sole-source acquisition. FY23 research, development, test, and evaluation funds in the amount of $1.29M are being obligated at time of award. AFWERX Enterprise Contracting is the contracting activity.
