Apple’s first chief people officer, Carol Surface, who joined in early 2023, is leaving the company, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Employees were notified of Surface’s exit on Wednesday, they said. With Surface’s departure, retail chief Deirdre O’Brien will reassume oversight of human resources, the people added. A spokesperson for Apple confirmed the moves.
