Apple’s breakup with Goldman underway, Chase ideal partner, Bloomberg says

The anticipated breakup between Apple (AAPL) and Goldman Sachs (GS) is now underway, and Chase (JPM) is appearing to be the main partner to step in, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports. Since the beginning of Apple and Goldman Sachs’ partnership, there have been engineering problems developing the service as well as issues with gender discrimination on credit limits and approvals and complaints on customer service hold times. Now, with Goldman trying to wind down its consumer businesses, both companies want out of the deal. Chase is a strong contender to replace Goldman, for it has a significant relationship with Apple, also uses the MasterCard network, and has a strong network.
