Apple (AAPL) is increasing the spotlight on hardware chief John Ternus as executive succession looms, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports. A broad changing of the guard is beginning to get underway, starting with the departure of COO Jeff Williams, and more executives are expected to follow, potentially including AI chief John Giannandrea, Gurman says. Apple has also weighed hiring a senior Meta (META) AI exec, though it remains unclear where Apple will ultimately land on its recruiting process or how much longer Giannandrea will stay, according to the report.
