Apple considers bid for global Formula 1 streaming rights, Business F1 says

Apple (AAPL) is considering making a blockbuster offer to Formula 1 Group (FWONA) for the global rights to the world championship on its channel, Business F1 Magazine reports, citing sources. Apple is said to be considering an offer F1G cannot refuse for global rights that could be as much as $2B a year, the magazine said. Under such a deal, the tech giant would offer a sliding scale according to how much exclusivity it was able to access. Apple has always been interested in Formula One rights but has been unable to move on it. The change of mind has come after the phenomenal success that Apple has had with its new deal with the American Major League Soccer, Business F1 writes.
