Illinois’ First District Appellate Court on Friday sided with the Forest County Potawatomi Community in their long-running court battle with Waukegan, Illinois, after the state’s Gaming Board granted an early approval to Full House Resorts for a casino license in 2021, The Chicago Sun Times’ Mitchell Armentrout reports. The ruling could end up forcing officials to start the selection process from scratch following complaints that the contest was “rigged,” the report says.
