Apax Partners, which bought Thoughtworks in 2017, listed the company through a Nasdaq initial public offering in September 2021 and remains its controlling shareholder, is leading a consortium that is considering a potential bid to take Thoughtworks private, people familiar with the matter told Bloomberg’s Manuel Baigorri and Baiju Kalesh. Apax has teamed up with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and the group is working with advisers to explore a possible joint offer for the shares they don’t already own in Thoughtworks, the report said.
