Goldman Sachs analyst Chandni Luthra upgraded American Homes 4 Rent to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $39, up from $36. The analyst remains constructive on the "strong demand" for housing amidst a shortage crisis, and says single-family rental is well positioned as homeownership continues to be very expensive, boding well for the company’s long-term fundamentals. American Homes is a "cleaner story" compared with its two peers from the perspectives of revenue, expense and growth, Luthra tells investors in a research note.
