For its second year as an official broadcast partner of Thursday Night Football for the National Football League, Amazon is leaning on AI tools and machine learning in an attempt to enhance the viewer experience, including newly generated graphics, highlighting certain player son the field, and other data, The Verge’s David Pierce reports. In games this season on Amazon, there will now be an automatically generated highlight feed for every game so viewers can catch up, like watching “last week on” montages in a TV show, as well as AI-generated features such as Defensive Alerts, the author notes.
