Amazon lays off more than 100 employees in its video games unit, CNBC says

In a memo to staff, sent on Tuesday, the VP of Amazon Games Christoph Hartmann informed staff of impending layoffs in the Game Growth group, Amazon’s San Diego gaming studio, and Prime Gaming, wrote Annie Palmer for CNBC. "The cuts come as Amazon CEO Andy Jassy has moved to rein in costs across the company. Last month, Jassy announced Amazon would lay off an additional 9,000 employees, which includes these Games group layoffs," noted CNBC in the story. Reference Link
