Amazon Labor Union is fighting for survival, WSJ reports

Two years ago, Amazon Labor Union was thriving, the group persuaded workers at a Staten Island warehouse to form a union at Amazon and the group seemed to have a future ahead, Sebastian Herrera of The Wall Street Journal reports. Now, however, the union is fighting to survive. Leadership is in turmoil and the group is facing growing financial pressure, the Journal notes, citing comments made by the union’s top officers. Furthermore, the group is not close to establishing a first labor contract with Amazon, despite federal pressure on the company to do so.
