Amazon.com (AMZN) said it is expanding its buy now, pay later offering beyond its website and app by making it available through the Amazon Pay tool on other retailers’ sites, James Pothen of Payments Dive reported last night, citing email sent to the website. A spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to a question on when that change occurred, Pothen added. “Amazon Pay merchants now have yet another way to seamlessly reach new customers, offering them more choice and convenience in how they pay,” Amazon Pay Director Omar Soudodi said in the email. Affirm (AFRM), which offers a competing buy now, pay later product, is little changed at $14.35 in late morning trading.
