After the FAA issued a statement recommending, as an added layer of safety, that operators of Boeing (BA) 737-900ER aircraft visually inspect mid-exit door plugs to ensure the door is properly secured, Alaska Air (ALK) stated in comments emailed to Bloomberg that the airline has found no issues so far in its 737-900ER checks.
