Truist keeps a Buy rating and $77 price target on Academy Sports ahead of its Q4 results this week as part of a broader research note previewing earnings for Softlines. The company’s growth meaningfully accelerated in December but took a step back post-Christmas and into January, the analyst tells investors in a research note, adding however that the firm expects Academy to benefit from easier comparisons this year, particularly in the outdoor category.
