Tesla (TSLA) Wins New Street High PT of $600 from Daniel Ives, Citing AI Potential

Wedbush’s top analyst Daniel Ives lifted his price target on Tesla (TSLA) from $500 to a new Street-high of $600, while keeping his “Buy” rating. Ives attributed this increase to Tesla’s massive artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous driving opportunities. The new price target implies an impressive 42% upside potential from current levels.

A long-time Tesla bull, Ives is a five-star analyst on TipRanks. He ranks #392 out of 10,050 analysts tracked, with a success rate of 56% and an average return per rating of 15.40%. TSLA stock is up 1.4% in pre-market trading on the news.

Tesla Is Set for ‘Next Stage of its AI Autonomous Path’

Ives believes that Tesla is entering an accelerated AI-driven phase and investors are “underestimating” the transformation at the electric vehicle (EV) maker. He added that Tesla is making significant progress in driving its AI revolution, with autonomy and robotics at the forefront, as it heads into 2026. This shift could be transformative and critical in shaping the company’s future.

Ives is confident that Tesla’s AI-driven autonomous driving initiatives will be the “biggest growth chapter in the EV maker’s history.” With the September quarter ending soon and the $7,500 in EV tax credit deadline approaching, analysts expect elevated auto deliveries due to customers accelerating purchases.

Ives remains highly optimistic about Tesla’s growth potential. Earlier, he projected that Tesla’s AI and autonomous potential alone could be worth $1 trillion. Robotaxi initiatives are expected to fast-track under the Trump administration, clearing the way for Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) ambitions.

Ives’ bull case scenario projects Tesla reaching a $2 trillion market cap by early 2026 and $3 trillion by the end of 2026. His assumptions include a full-scale volume production of FSD and robotaxi technologies.
