“We will be releasing a minimum of 7 Countries having to do with trade, tomorrow morning, with an additional number of Countries being released in the afternoon,” said Trump in a Truth Social post.

Trump Cements August 1 Tariff Deadline

Trump had previously set the reciprocal tariff pause deadline to July 9. Earlier this week, he extended the deadline to August 1 through an executive order. He emphasized that “No extensions will be granted” to the new deadline.

So far, 14 countries have received letters outlining their updated tariff rates. Laos and Myanmar were hit the hardest with rates of 40%, while major U.S. trading partners South Korea and Japan received a 25% levy.
